Contractor who was born and raised by his parents in Nigeria and Mumbai prior to turning 7years old, traveled all over the world and experienced diverse cultures when he was a kid. She attended boarding schools from the age between 7 and 9 years old in London. After that the family relocated home to Toronto (Canada) which is where they lived for the rest of her childhood. Contractor was a brilliant pupil in Toronto and was trained as an expert ballet dancer. At the Etobicoke School of the Arts (a public school for high schools that is specialized in the arts), Contractor studied both the theatre and dance. At the age of 16 after a decade of years of dancing Contractor decided to pursue acting seriously. After she completed high school, she was offered a full tuition scholarship to University of Toronto where she pursued theatre studies with a double diploma in sociology and psychology. After one year at University, Contractor went to an open audition for the production Pericles at the prestigious and renowned Stratford Shakespeare Festival [Ontario, Canada and was offered the role of lead. The 92 productions she performed received acclaim from Canadian critics. The actress accepted an invitation to join Stratford's conservatory, a program that allows only four males and eight women can take a 20 weeks crash training in classical theater. Contractor's spot was assured during the upcoming season of shows as she was offered the character for the role of Hermia A Midsummer Night's Dream.
